The Corporate Communications Senior Manager will lead strategic planning and delivery of communications and public relations strategies and activities for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, ensuring the tournament is powerfully positioned in line with FIFA’s overall strategic objectives and the FIFA Women’s Football Strategy.

This role is responsible to support the Head of Communications & Media Relations in the rollout and implementation of the Communications components of the tournament’s Marketing & Communications Strategy, with a strong focus on Brazil and South America. The position plays a central role in leading the development and implementation of proactive corporate communications that enhance FIFA’s reputation, raises awareness on the tournament, influences public perception, engages with internal and external stakeholders for higher impact and ensures consistency across proactive and reactive messaging at a global level.

Reporting jointly to the Head of Communications & Media Relations based in Brazil and to the Team Lead Corporate Communications in Switzerland, the Corporate Communications Senior Manager will collaborates with senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and leadership teams to translate corporate priorities and tournament objectives into engaging, credible narratives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and implement a corporate communications-first approach, delivering proactive, strategic messaging and storytelling across Brazil and South America in line with the Marketing & Communications Strategy.
- Develops messaging for tournament milestones, events, initiatives, campaigns, announcements and key FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ functional areas.
- Act as the central integrator for communications-related matters, coordinating internal and external stakeholders including FIFA27 functional teams, Host City communications teams, federal, state and municipal authorities, the CBF, and other key partners.
- Develop and implement pre-emptive communications plans to manage risk, address sensitive topics and engage targeted audiences.
- Develop issues and crisis communications planning and execution withing FIFA27 in close alignment with the FIFA Communications Division, supporting all relevant partners and activities in the lead-up to and during the tournament.
- Build close working relationships with other Marketing and Communications teams to ensure narrative unity and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the Media Relations department to identify and amplify proactive stories that shape public understanding of FIFA’s initiatives.
- Partner with digital, editorial, and campaign teams to deliver integrated storytelling across FIFA’s ecosystem,
- Perform other duties directly related to the role, as required by FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ leadership or the FIFA Communications Division.

- Minimum 7 years experience in communications, media and public relations, with experience in similar leadership positions
- Familiarity with the world of football. Passion for women’s football is a plus
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Spanish language skills are an asset
- Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the year
- Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
