The Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager is a key role in the Fulham Group’s finance function. We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to join our finance team and play a key role in financial reporting, compliance and regulatory submissions in support of the Club’s strategic objectives.
Although our brand is most closely associated with Premier League football, the Fulham Group now comprises three main businesses:
- Fulham Football Club, incorporating the First Team and Academy;
- The Fulham Football Club Foundation, and
- Fulham Pier, a new 365 day venue on the banks of the River Thames, comprising bars, restaurants, conference and events spaces, a hotel and a spa.
The Finance Reporting & Compliance Manager, reporting to the Financial Controller, will lead the preparation and delivery of comprehensive financial reports and ensure full compliance with statutory, Premier League, and UEFA regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, lead external audit processes, and support the finance leadership in maintaining best-in-class financial controls and reporting processes.

Working as the Finance Reporting & Compliance Manager in a business incorporating a high-profile, Premier League football club, is a unique role. The following is a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities of the role:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and deliver accurate statutory financial statements for interim and year-end reporting.
- Lead the annual audit process, manage external auditors, and oversee audit deliverables.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Premier League financial regulations (including SCR and PSR where applicable), UEFA submissions and statutory requirements
- Support the creation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and reforecast cycles.
- Manage the transactional finance team, ensuring ledgers are well maintained and transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
Controls & Process Improvement
- Actively review existing procedures and proactively recommend improvements where deficiencies are identified and lead the change process.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures across the Club.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and financial systems.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with senior leadership, commercial and operational teams to support business decision-making.
- Serve as the finance lead for regulatory submissions to governing bodies including the Premier League and UEFA.
- Help to support and drive a service-led finance function, acting as a strong advocate for the finance function across the business.
Requirements
The Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager should have:
- An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with preferably 3+ years PQE
- Experience managing audit processes and compliance submissions.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge and reporting skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, dynamic environment.
- Enjoys managing and supporting others in their development.
- An interest in football is a plus but not essential.
