Working alongside the FIFA Zurich (FZ) Workforce Management team and reporting to the FIFA27 Head of Workforce, the Manager, Workforce Communications & Engagement is responsible for creating an unforgettable experience for all Staff at FIFA27 by providing a seamless and professional onboarding, a positive and engaging workplace environment, a rewarding and once in a lifetime Tournament and a simple but thorough offboarding journey.

This position plays an integral part in ensuring a successful Tournament by retaining the FIFA27 Workforce and leaving a lasting positive impression so that FIFA continues to be the employer of choice for future Tournaments and events.

As the Tournament draws closer, this role will evolve from planning into workforce operations resulting in an assignment to a competition or non-competition location for the Tournament period.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manageh employee engagement/social activities and a communication plan to excite and engage all employees during their time with FIFA27.
- Develop a strong working relationship with FIFA Zurich communications & engagement teams, and embed central FIFA initiatives and engagement programs into FIFA27.
- Working closely with the Senior Manager, Recruitment & HR & HRBP’s to:
- Generate ideas for embedding FIFA27 culture and values into the workplace environment
- Partner on increasing employee satisfaction by implementing ideas based on employee feedback
- Lead the workforce communications strategy, including the delivery of an ‘all-staff’ tournament workforce briefing prior to mass arrivals at tournament-time
- In collaboration with the workforce operations, manage the strategy, planning and execution of a tournament-time workforce reward & recognition program across eight FWWC host cities.
- Plan and execute the FIFA27 employee offboarding journey
- Determine and manage the end-to-end onboarding processes from employment contract signature to the end of the new joiners first month, including the delivery of induction days and onboarding content.
- Identify and manage the requirements and steps for relocation services for employees within Brazil and internationally.
- Work closely with VISA & Immigration resources to determine processes for entry to Brazil in alignment with immigration requirements for international employees.
- Establish mechanisms and collate detailed information regarding setting up ‘temporary life in Brazil’ to support international new employees with their relocation and settling into their new life in Brazil and their role with FIFA27.
- Source, procure and manage distribution of new employee welcome packs in preparation for new joiner’s first day at FIFA27.

- 5 years’ experience in a comparable role in an international, fast-paced environment, complex project, preferably in the events and/or sports industry.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) planning software and online collaboration tools.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in event planning and event project management, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Ability to provide examples where excellent client service skills and the capacity to facilitate the needs of multiple business units has served you well in your career to date.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrable adaptability and examples of where you’ve acted as a facilitator and/or negotiator.
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrate initiative and a strong focus on providing a high level of service.
- A team player, willing to work to tight timelines.
- Positive attitude, patience, and persistence.
- Experience working within a multicultural and or multinational organization.
- Fluent Portuguese, advanced or fluent English skills (written & spoken)
