Inter Miami CF is seeking a Merchandise Planner to support the financial planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization of the club’s retail and e-commerce merchandise business. This role is responsible for driving data-informed planning decisions that maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity across channels. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with experience balancing financial targets, inventory health, and business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Develop and manage seasonal and annual merchandise plans, forecasts, and budgets.
• Own sales, margin, and inventory forecasts across retail, stadium, and e-commerce channels.
• Partner with Finance to align merchandise plans with broader financial targets and reporting.
• Monitor performance against plan and proactively recommend adjustments to optimize results.
Inventory Management & Optimization
• Manage inventory flow, depth, and timing to support demand while minimizing risk.
• Analyze sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory turns to drive replenishment and exit strategies.
• Identify risks and opportunities related to overages, shortages, and aging inventory.
• Support allocation and replenishment strategies to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
• Produce regular reporting on sales performance, inventory health, and margin trends.
• Partner with Merchandising and Licensing teams to provide insights that inform assortment and buy decisions.
• Analyze product-level and category-level performance to support future planning cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Merchandising, Licensing, Retail Operations, and Supply Chain to align planning assumptions and execution.
• Support go-to-market planning for key launches, events, and peak business moments.
• Translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Ownership
• Maintain accurate planning tools, forecasts, and documentation with high attention to detail.
• Continuously refine planning processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Operate with a solutions-oriented mindset, balancing precision with business agility.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning, retail planning, or a related analytical role.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel or planning tools.
• Experience forecasting sales, managing inventory metrics, and analyzing performance.
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both analytical and non-analytical partners.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven retail environment.
