The Role
We’re looking for a Casual Sports Study Programme Tutor to join our Arsenal in the Community team, supporting the delivery of our sports study programmes across secondary and post‑16 age groups. You’ll play a vital role in motivating and inspiring young people, helping them build the necessary skills and confidence to excel in further education or employment.
This is a rewarding opportunity where you’ll design and deliver educational sports study materials which inspire and motivate. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Education and Community teams, contributing to curriculum development and shaping positive learning environments where every young person feels supported and encouraged to succeed.

Depending on the responsibilities of the role, a DBS will be either a basic, standard, or enhanced check.
Your day-to-day
- Design and deliver engaging material - you’ll create and deliver educational content that meets awarding body standards and supports learners of all levels and stages
- Support learner progress and outcomes - you will proactively track attendance, retention and achievement, ensuring outcomes and results are consistently positive
- Demonstrate safeguarding practices - you’ll diligently follow safeguarding practices and procedures, proudly prioritising the welfare of those enrolled on the programme
- Develop educational curriculum and resources - you will collaborate with the Community team to continually review and enhance work schemes and teaching materials, taking part in group meetings to share key learnings across the programme
- Assess and provide feedback - you’ll review assessments in line with the marking criteria, ensuring educational outcomes have been met, delivering clear, constructive feedback to support learner development
- Maintain accurate records - you will confidently use systems such as registers, student tracking tools and online learning platforms to record progress and feedback
- Contribute to team collaboration - you’ll take part in meetings and contribute positively to shared learning and decision‑making across our teams
What we are looking for
- A recognised teaching qualification - you come with a PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting young people aged 16 and over - you’re confident working with learners in educational or community settings
- Educational assessment and grading experience - you’re well versed in assessment criteria, grading processes and providing meaningful feedback in accordance with relevant educational governing body standards
- Safeguarding awareness - you possess a clear understanding of safeguarding and the challenges young people may face
- Excellent communication skills - you’re proud of your ability to engage, motivate and build trusted relationships with young people and colleagues
- Exceptional organisation and adaptability - you can balance a varied workload and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- An understanding of digital and online software- you’re comfortable using online platforms and Microsoft Office to support teaching and administration
- A supportive and respectful approach - you demonstrate compassion, patience and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed Position of Trust- As someone in a position of trust role involving regular, direct contact with children or vulnerable adults you will be expected to uphold high standards of conduct to prevent abuse, including sexual, physical, or emotional harm. This role requires you to keep updated with both Club and FA Safeguarding training and education
