Main goal
One of the key roles of the Commercial & Broadcast Operations unit is to organise the commercial operations rights delivery at all centralised season matches. Within this unit, the Commercial & Broadcast Operations Coordinator supports the team and coordinates the tasks, projects and subprojects delegated to them. This involves ensuring that UEFA's commercial partners adhere to operational procedures and guidelines, and contributing actively to the delivery of commercial rights for the relevant competitions.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and overseeing the correct implementation of the broadcast partners' rights at all centralised UEFA Europa Conference League matches in accordance with their contractual agreements
- Supporting this implementation across other competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women's Champions League and national team competitions)
- Serving as one of the key contacts for the operational management of the venue operations and broadcast managers (VOBMs), providing back-office support before and during matchweeks, at the match centre and on the VOBM hotline
- Acting as the VOBM for season matches
- Supporting the unilateral services delivery for the UEFA club competition finals
- Working in close cooperation within the Commercial Operations unit, football operations, communications, the marketing host broadcast team, other relevant UEFA units and UEFA’s agencies
- Coordinating and preparing documentation, content for manuals, guidelines, procedures, reporting and archiving
- Coordinating venue workshops, training, briefings and other specific tasks in the unit
- Setting up and monitoring ICT platforms to ensure tools are fully available and functional
- Handling planning, budget and organisational administration for VOBM-related tasks
- Coordinating with certain suppliers or partners in the allocated sectors
- Exchanging information efficiently with all internal and external parties, including other UEFA divisions, clubs, broadcasters, appointed agencies and external suppliers
Requirements
Experience:
- From 3 to 5 years' experience in event operations, ideally in sports marketing, for a rights-holder, broadcaster or international agency, working closely with venues
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, communications or another relevant field
Languages:
- English / Proficient
- Any additional European languages would be an asset
Other requirements:
- Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
- Computer-literate, familiar with ICT platforms, proficient user of MS Office suite and AI tools
- Pragmatic, communicative team player able to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Able to provide outstanding results under stress, attentive to detail but also capable of seeing the big picture
- Independent, positive and comfortable in a multicultural environment
- Client-oriented with strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Able to implement strict business rules and follow guidelines
- Available to travel (up to 30%)
- Good knowledge of sport in general and football in particular
