Coordinator Regulatory Applications (Freelancer)

These are your key tasks:

- Efficiently and effectively dealing with applications related to player transfers, player registrations, international transfers of minors and validation exceptions
- Handling applications for the international transfers of minors within the Transfer Matching System (TMS) as well as requests related to the issuance of an international transfer certificate for players
- Handling correspondence about proceedings before the FIFA Football Tribunal related to the protection of minors
- Handling regulatory application concerning player eligibility and changes of association
- Handling regulatory applications concerning mandatory release for national-team duty and late return to clubs
- Carrying out the analysis of regulatory applications received by FIFA via the Legal Portal and TMS and ensuring the completeness of case files
- Preparing the case files of the different regulatory applications for decision by the FIFA Football Tribunal, taking into account existing FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) jurisprudence
- Informing other FIFA departments of potential violations of the relevant provisions governing the protection of minors
- Giving written and/or oral advice on regulations and general legal issues related to the registration and transfer of minors

- One to three years’ experience as a lawyer, preferably in an international environment
- Legal experience in a sports-related environment
- Proven track record within the football industry an asset. Experience with the Transfer Matching System (TMS) an asset
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Fluency in at least two FIFA languages (oral and written) and ability to work in all three official languages (English/French/Spanish) an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook)
- Familiarity with Jira an asset
- Readiness to do standby duties
