We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead and manage our innovative Football Academy provision at Boreham Wood Football Academy. You will have a track record of successfully learning, assessing and teaching in a further education college. You will be able to lead, inspire and manage a team of staff to achieve outstanding standards. You will have a good understanding of providing effective and efficient organisation of curriculum delivery. You will convey high expectations for learners and staff, develop an outstanding curriculum provision ensuring high standards of achievement and working within financial budgets. You will ensure that all learners within the Sports curriculum area have an excellent quality learning experience and achieve their qualifications. Their achievement must be underpinned by excellent skills to enable them to progress to the next level or gain and retain employment.
The Curriculum Manager(s) is expected to be an outstanding teaching and learning practitioner who will act as a role model to all other staff within the curriculum area and the wider College. The successful candidate will also, in conjunction with the Colindale Campus Director, lead the strategic development and direction of the curriculum area including performance management of staff
Key Responsibilities
The curriculum at Barnet and Southgate College is organised into Centres each led by a Campus Director. Within each Centre, a Curriculum Manager may be responsible for a team or teams, a curriculum area, a cross curriculum role and/or have site responsibility, as designated by the Campus Director. Curriculum Managers may also be required to deputise in the absence of the Campus Director.
Each Curriculum Manager will manage an area of the curriculum area’s work as designated by the Campus Director, but within the scope of the responsibilities laid out below. These roles and responsibilities are to be monitored through the College’s appraisal process and may be subject to change.
Each Curriculum Manager will be expected to have qualifications and experience (teaching and management) relevant to at least one of the curriculum subjects within the designated curriculum area.
