Main goal
The mission of the Event Experience & Communications team is to create unforgettable fan experiences across UEFA’s
club competitions and international tournaments. UEFA will take a cutting-edge approach to event communications at
UEFA EURO 2028 in the UK & Ireland, with an industry leading offering on their mobile app and UEFA.com. Combining
fan insight and the latest in digital technology, our focus is to deliver a personalised experience to all target groups
attending matches or the Fan Festival at UEFA EURO 2028.
The EURO Event Communications & Digital Coordinator will contribute to the design and functionality of the EURO 2028
app for tournament attendees, working closely with UEFA ICT, technical suppliers and operational stakeholders across
UEFA and the UK&I. They will also support the Event Communications team with content management, copywriting and
on-site communications.
Key responsibilities
Project Management
- Be the first point of contact for UEFA ICT, UX & UI designers and developers for the delivery of the EURO 2028 app event companion
- Assess product requirements and functionalities based on fan needs, supporting their matchday journey through in-stadium experiences, travel, Host City discovery and UEFA Festival attendance, while aligning with business objectives and operational requirements
- Follow the app product roadmap, monitoring progress to ensure the Event Comms team's desired service levels, budgets, timelines and key milestones are met
- Work with operational stakeholders within UEFA and the local organiser to ensure solutions meet operational needs
- Participate in at-desk and onsite testing at other UEFA events to ensure flawless functionality
- Prepare and lead workshops, supplier meetings and presentations, while ensuring thorough follow-ups
Content Development & Management
- Manage day-to-day content across UEFA's mobile apps and UEFA.com, ensuring content is published through the CMS and channels remain accurate and up to date
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including LOS, host cities and venues, to gather content for fans attending UEFA competitions and tournaments
- Write engaging, creative and accurate copy in line with UEFA style guides and tone of voice
Other Responsibilities
- Support dynamic communications on-site during competitions and matches
Requirements
- from 1 to 3 years experience of working with digital products, ideally with a focus on user experience for app and/or web products
- from 1 to 3 years digital content management experience
- from 1 to 3 years project management experience
Languages:
- Fluent in English, any additional European language would be considered an asset
Other requirements:
- Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
- Digitally savvy with a strong understanding of mobile apps, websites, industry standards and digital innovation best practices
- Passionate about football and/or other sports, with a good understanding of fan needs and culture
- Major event operations experience, ideally within the sports or entertainment industry, would be beneficial
- Creative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to multitask effectively and thrive in an international environment
- Strong organisational and project management skills
