Main goal
UEFA EURO 2028 will be played in eight cities across the UK and Ireland. Organising a EURO is a challenging task, and we need fantastic, dedicated and experienced people in all sectors.
The Staff Logistics Coordinator will coordinate staff accommodation for UEFA EURO 2028, ensuring that hotel selection, contracting and allocation are aligned with operational needs and UEFA standards. This role is responsible for managing hotel accommodation operations, maintaining accurate data within UEFA’s internal management systems, and ensuring effective communication with hotel partners throughout the event lifecycle. Based primarily at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland, the position focuses on event planning and coordination, with some international travel required to support event delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Reviewing and updating the hotel selection for UEFA EURO 2028 staff in line with operational requirements
- Handling the contracting of additional hotels when required, following established guidelines and approval processes
- Attending hotel site visits when necessary and contributing to evaluations and follow-up actions
- Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with the hotels
- Setting up contracted hotels and hotel allocations in the accommodation database and ensuring data accuracy
- Coordinating the management of hotel allocations in accordance with agreed cancellation policies
- Coordinating accommodation operations, including last-minute changes to rooming lists and allocation adjustments
- Planning, coordinating and implementing daily staff commutes, researching the best travel options to and from their hotel and venue
- Preparing training documents and delivering staff hotel training to the on-site broadcast and venue logistics managers
Requirements
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience planning and managing accommodation for large-scale events
- Experience supporting the organisation of major sports and/or corporate events is an asset
- Experience working on-site at international sporting events is an advantage
- Familiarity with event planning databases or event management systems is desirable
Education:
- University degree or similar with focus on event management
