POSITION OVERVIEW:

The First Team Player Care Coordinator role at Chicago Fire FC helps manage the off-field logistical needs of players and their families so that each player can focus fully on maximizing their on-field performance and development. This includes not only the management of their initial relocation and onboarding into the club and city, but also ongoing support throughout the season to ensure they feel at home from day one. This role reports directly into the First Team Player Care Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Contribute to the overall vision, mission, and values of Chicago Fire FC
- Assist Player Care Manager with all off-field, day-to-day logistics for First Team players and families
- Support with execution of player and family relocation and onboarding into the club and city
- Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with players and families to best serve as their main point of contact for any off-field needs
- Support in coordination of personal development programming for players and families (e.g. language classes, cooking classes, financial literacy), working cross-departmentally where necessary
- Serve as main point of contact for logistics on home match days for players' families and friends (incl. ticket needs) to ensure a seamless experience
- Assist in the coordination and execution of player commercial appearances
- Support with execution of player autograph sessions
- Assist General Manager & Player Care Manager with execution of player immigration needs as requested
- Support Player Care Manager with maintaining relationships with external, local contacts that can be helpful in supporting the player and family integration process (e.g. realtors, daycare contacts, etc.)
- Support in execution of player and family offboarding when departing the club
- Travel with First Team as required to provide operational support during matches, preseason, and other team events
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Perform other duties, special projects, and ad hoc assignments as directed to support First Team players, team operations, and organizational objectives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Player Care or a similar role
- Strong proven experience in professional sports
- Conversational Spanish language fluency preferred
- Strong understanding of / willingness to learn about different cultures and backgrounds to offer support to both domestic & international players
- Must display a strong work ethic and desire to build a career in professional sports
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude, growth mindset, and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to build relationships with players, player families, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Travel and ability to work weekends / flexible hours required
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games and travel to away games

COMPENSATION:

- This role offers a salary range of $60,000.00 - $65,000.00
- Final salary is determined by carefully considering the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications. Base pay may vary significantly based on geographic location, job-specific knowledge, skills, and overall experience. This role is classified as Full-time, exempt
- This role is bonus eligible based on Club-wide goals
