Support the delivery of the FIFA Volunteer Programme under the leadership ofthe Host City Volunteer Manager and the guidance of the FIFA27 Central Volunteer Management and FIFA Volunteer Management Zurich.
The role is supporting the coordination of volunteer recruitment, training, communications, and day-to-day operations within the assigned Host City. This includes coordinating activities within the FIFA Volunteer Platform, supporting Stadium Volunteer Centre readiness and operations, assisting with volunteer recruitment and engagement initiatives, and helping ensure the consistent delivery of the Volunteer Programme in line with FIFA standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following points will apply to all host cities and venues where the competition takes place.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Support the Host City Volunteer Manager in delivering the FIFA Volunteer Programme across the assigned Host City
· Support the administration and day-to-day use of the FIFA Volunteer Platform: selecting volunteers, role offers, shift management, change maanagement, communication and any other related queries
· Support the recruitment process (through application screening) and ensuring that successful candidates are appropriately matched to roles which best suit their skills and experience (assignment).
· Participate in site visits, as necessary to inspect and validate potential pre-tournament and tournament-time required spaces
· Coordinating the delivery of the Volunteer Training Programme (general and role/venue-specific training) and support Functional Areas (FAs) with Role-Specific Training plan.
· Deliver Trainings for engagement volunteers
· Ensuring volunteers have a good experience and are deployed depending on the daily activities taking place.
· Coordinating the set-up, daily operations and readiness of the stadium volunteer centre and providing inspiration, support, and motivation to the volunteers, as well as leading the reward and recognition programme and the engagement programme during tournament time.
· Communicate with applicants and volunteers via FIFA Communications tools
· Leading the volunteers’ day-to-day activities and supporting them while on shift.
· Supporting the HC Volunteer Manager in coordination with FAs at the venue for shift planning, change management process and volunteer deployment.
· Monitoring volunteer attendance and escalating if any issue arises.
· Undertaking the day-to-day management of volunteers to ensure the well-being of volunteers on-site.
· Ensuring that shifts are fully covered, and FAs daily requirements are fulfilled.
· Collaborate closely with the Central volunteer management team and relevant on-site Functional Area (FA) teams, to ensure the timely delivery of engagement items and gifts.
· Coordinate the execution of engagement initiatives and gift distribution, ensuring accurate inventory control, asset tracking, and efficient management of all items and equipment.
· Support with the planning and delivery of Volunteer Thank-You event
· Contribute to the development of volunteer communications, operational guidelines, and information materials across all phases of the volunteer journey.
· Provide support to applicants and volunteers through ServiceNow, responding to enquiries promptly and escalating complex issues where required
· Depending on your assign city: support the planning and delivery of FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™ events, including the Final Draw, Team Workshop, Play-Off Tournament, Volunteer Thank-You events, and other official tournament activities, as required.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in Portuguese (local language), basic level of English is an added advantage
- Education: Undergraduate Degree in Sports Management or Event Management or Project Management preferred.
- Experience of working for events, and strong understanding of volunteer management
- Desirable experience in delivering volunteer programmes supporting the volunteer journey, including fit for purpose attraction, promotion, recruitment, training, engagement, and tournament operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of volunteer or workforce system an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to develop beneficial working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as with local networks within the Host City, especially among the football community.
- Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, with the flexibility and resilience to adapt to change and remain solution oriented.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Experience in delivering workshops, volunteer briefings or training sessions
- Enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to facilitate workshops, information sessions, and volunteer briefings
- Knowledge of the local landscape, community networks, and key stakeholders within the respective Host City is an advantage.
