JOB DESCRIPTION

High School 2nd Assistant Soccer Coach

TITLE: Assistant Coach 

REPORTS TO:  Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Principal

JOB GOAL:  Assistant Coaches are responsible for helping head coaches organize and direct an athletic activity consistent with generally accepted aims of sports in an educational setting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Washington State Background Check
2. Fingerprint Check
3. High School Diploma/Transcripts
4. Must comply with all District rules and regulations

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Have an understanding knowledge of the rules and regulations regarding this sport as presented in the WIAA Handbook and in District policy.
2. Keep abreast of rules, rule changes, current sport knowledge, and techniques by attending clinics and workshops when possible.
3. Have a valid first aid/CPR card.
4. Assist the head coach in carrying out his/her duties.
5. Apply discipline in a firm and positive manner under the shelter of the head coach’s established guidelines.
6. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Principal(s).
7. EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of extra-curricular personnel.
