Leicestershire & Rutland County FA (LRCFA) is inviting applications for the position of Referee Development Officer.
Salary: Starting from £26,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (some evening and weekend work required)
Location: Holmes Park, Dog and Gun Lane, Whetstone, LE8 6FA (with travel around the county and some home working)
This full-time role will focus on recruiting and converting new referees through the delivery of referee courses and providing post-course support to help officials begin their journey in the game.
Additionally, the role will involve overseeing the appointment of match officials for County Cup competitions and partner organisation fixtures, including academy and university games. This position will report to our Workforce Lead, supporting the ongoing development, progression, and retention of referees across the county.

About the Role:
- Identify, manage, and develop relationships with key partners to meet the strategic objectives of LRCFA.
- Lead on the delivery of referee courses as a tutor to meet organisational needs.
- Deliver recruitment and conversion strategies to grow the referee workforce.
- Organise and support development opportunities for trainee referees, including post-course sessions and celebration events.
- Support initiatives such as Referee Roadshows and the Centre of Refereeing Excellence (CORE).
- Oversee the development of the Referee Friendly Club Programme.
- Administer County FA and external match official appointments in line with policies and procedures.
