About this role:

Crystal Palace Football Club are looking for scouts to join our National scouting department to monitor and identify players across the country in the U14 - U18 age groups.

We are recruiting scouts for various regions of the UK (each role will be allocated specific regions).

Ideal applicants will have strong travel access to their local area and be able to travel extensively within cross over regions to attend matches and assess talent.

Responsibilities:

- Ability to watch a minimum of up to four live games per week ( Combination of live & video reporting when needed)
- Flexible and committed to work unsocial hours, weekend, and evenings
- Identify, recommend, and monitor potential recruitment targets for the age range outlined by the academy
- Submit reports in an efficient and timely manner
- Develop an extensive knowledge of all academy players within your designated area and nationwide.
- Utilise modern scouting methods with regards to reporting, recording, and tracking potential player targets
- Represent Crystal Palace FC in a professional and honest manner
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
- Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience of scouting Professional Football Academies at CAT 1- CAT 4 levels ( Essential )
- FA Level 2 Talent ID (Essential)
- Knowledge of the PL and EFL games programme (Essential)
- FA Level 3 Talent ID (Desirable)
- Must Hold Valid Driving License (Essential)
- Flexible and willing to travel (Essential)
- IT Competent, ability to use Wyscout / Eyeball / Scoutastic (Essential)
- Organised and time conscious with report deadlines
- Must be up to date with relevant child protection guidelines and hold relevant certificates (Essential)
