Based at City Football Academy in Manchester, this permanent full-time role plays a central part in supporting the operations and administration of the Academy. You will help keep fixtures, travel, player information and wider phase activity running smoothly, enabling the team to deliver a high-quality experience for players, staff and families.

Within our Academy Operations and Development team, we help create the conditions for players and staff to focus on football development. Our work brings together planning, organisation and service, supporting the smooth delivery of the Academy every day.

The Role

This role sits at the heart of the Academy phase operation, keeping the day-to-day detail organised so players, coaches and families experience clear communication and dependable support. You will help ensure the phase runs smoothly behind the scenes, with high-quality administration, planning and coordination that support operational excellence and excellent service.

Your work will cover fixture preparation, travel and accommodation, tournament administration, meeting actions, calendar management and player records on Teamworks. You will also support reporting and presentation materials, helping the phase operations managers turn information into clear, useful updates, while contributing to Academy events and content such as the Men’s First Team Player Appearance Day.

Just as importantly, you will build trusted relationships across the Academy, working closely with staff, players and parents in a flexible and responsive way. This is a role for someone who enjoys varied operational work, takes pride in detail, and can adapt to changing priorities while helping the wider Academy achieve its goals.

What You’ll Bring

⚽ Experience in a football academy or high-performance sport environment, with an understanding of the demands of working with young performers

⚽ Understanding of academy football, including relevant guidelines such as the Elite Player Performance Plan

⚽ Experience coordinating operational, logistical or administrative activity for fixtures, travel, events or a similar programme

⚽ Experience using Teamworks or a similar communication and operations platform to manage player and schedule information

⚽ Ability to build trusted working relationships with staff, players and parents and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

⚽ Ability to work flexibly, including irregular hours and domestic or international travel when required
