Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Services & Infrastructure (TCS), the Power & Containment Cluster Manager is responsible for the planning, integration and delivery of power infrastructure and containment systems across all FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 venues.

The role ensures that all power, containment and key technical services (HVAC, water & waste, floodlighting, sound system, etc) are delivered in full compliance with FIFA standards, supporting operational readiness, safety and broadcast requirements, while managing dependencies with stadiums, host cities, suppliers and Functional Areas.

The position acts as a critical integration point between design, procurement, delivery and operations, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and protecting the tournament’s critical path.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define and validate technical requirements for power, containment and related services (HVAC, water & waste, floodlighting) in coordination with all Functional Areas.
- Ensure compliance of power infrastructure, including grid, temporary systems and backup solutions.
- Ensure effective containment design and routing for power, broadcast and technical services.
- Coordinate with stadiums, host cities, utilities and suppliers to ensure alignment, integration and delivery.
- Monitor and report progress, quality and compliance, identifying risks, dependencies and mitigation actions.
- Support on technical inspections, readiness reviews and audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
- Oversee testing and commissioning, including load and stress testing of power systems.
- Act as the cluster technical interface across stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with FIFA standards, timelines, budget constraints and operational requirements.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or engineering field

Experience

- A minimum of 8 years work experience in a technical services related field within Major Events/Sports Organization.
- Experience with Energy / MEP required (e.g. Temporary Power, Ventilation and Cooling, Cabling)

Skills & Competencies

- Strong technical knowledge in Energy / MEP required (e.g. Temporary Power, Ventilation and Cooling, Cabling, Entertainment).
- Proficient in MS Office and planning software and online collaboration tools
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and implement effective solutions.

Certifications & Requirements

- Right to work in Brazil
- Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional language(s) is an asset.
- Availability to travel as needed
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
