The Public Relations Specialist will be a key member of the FIFA26 Communications & PR team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA Zurich Communications and Media Relations teams and other key individuals responsible for delivering Public Relations efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.
These are your key tasks:
- Support the Senior Manager of Public Relations in delivering key outcomes, functional tasks, and essential reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, delivering timely reports and insights to help adjust communication strategies when needed.
- Support the follow up with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to secure accurate and positive coverage, and assist media on accreditations of doubts.
- Support crisis communication responses and media monitoring 24/7.
- Help organize press conferences, interviews, and media events.
- Provide reports, insights, and post‑event evaluations to guide communication strategies.
- This role will essentially work from the office during tournament time.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a public relations function
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure
