Manchester City is a football club rooted in East Manchester, with a story that began in 1880 and continues to grow today. Built on resilience, belief and togetherness, success on the pitch is driven by the moments and memories shared with millions of Fans around the world. The Role

You will work with the Head of Safety and Security and other Safety and Security Managers to assess risk, prepare operational orders, event briefings and risk assessments, and ensure arrangements meet the General Safety Certificate, relevant legislation, guidance and Club policies. You will also support event resource planning, including the recruitment, training, deployment and welfare of employees, casual workers and agency personnel.

The role involves close collaboration with teams across the Campus and, where appropriate, external partners so that safety and security arrangements are aligned and delivered consistently. You will contribute to a positive safeguarding culture, ensuring concerns relating to children, vulnerable adults, women and girls are escalated promptly and managed in line with Club policies and statutory guidance.

What You’ll Bring

⚽Experience in planning and delivering safety and security operations for large-scale sporting or entertainment events.

⚽Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance, including Safety of Sports Grounds legislation and the Green Guide.

⚽An NVQ Level 4 qualification, or equivalent, in Spectator Safety Management, or substantial progress towards completion.

⚽The ability to evaluate operational risks, provide informed advice and identify practical solutions.

⚽Experience in developing and delivering detailed operational plans and briefings, ideally in a sporting or event environment.

⚽Clear organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and work flexibly across event and matchday schedules.
