About the role

As Security Manager (Training Ground & Academy), you will manage all aspects of site security across Newcastle United’s Training Ground and Academy. This includes access control, accreditation, CCTV management and leading a team of Security Officers, ensuring a safe, secure and compliant environment for staff, players, visitors and stakeholders.

What you’ll do

* Manage and efficiently resource the Training Ground & Academy Security Team, including maintaining a resilient pool of trained temporary workers.

* Ensure site security SOPs are adhered to, regularly reviewed and updated.

* Act as the first point of contact for any out‑of‑hours security issues or incidents.

* Manage access control and accreditation processes across both sites.

* Oversee CCTV usage and radio maintenance for the Security Team.

* Lead performance management, attendance, appraisals and continuous professional development for direct reports, ensuring DBS and qualification requirements are met.

* Undertake investigations and hearings relating to misconduct or grievance cases.

* Carry out security pre‑visits on behalf of the Academy.

* Act as a role model for club values and behaviours, leading and challenging your team accordingly.

* Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
