Main goal
UEFA is looking for a Sports Centre Assistant to oversee facility bookings and reservations for the Colovray sports centre, which falls under the responsibility of the Facility Management unit. The centre's facilities comprise six football pitches, a rugby pitch, an athletics track, a basketball court, a gym and several meeting rooms.
The role involves coordinating facility occupancy schedules, organising sports events, collaborating with local sports clubs and Nyon's local authorities, and financial and administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
Coordinating facility schedules
- Managing approximately 8,000 bookings per year, handling requests from local sports clubs, UEFA departments and external users
- Preparing and publishing weekly, monthly and annual occupancy schedules
Collaborating with local sports clubs and the local authorities
- Working closely with local clubs and partners to accommodate a wide range of sporting activities and ensure the optimal use of facilities
Organising sports event
- Supporting the planning and delivery of approximately 30 major sporting events per year, including football, rugby and athletics competitions, running races and triathlons at local, national and international levels
Financial and administrative tasks
- Managing the centre’s day-to-day administration, including preparing purchase orders, collecting and filing quotations and invoices, and overseeing user invoicing processes
Requirements
Experience:
- Proven experience in event organisation and project management, preferably in a sports environment
- Experience within the Swiss non-profit or sports club sector is highly desirable
Education:
- University degree in sports management, event management or a related field would be an advantage
Languages:
- French: Proficient
- English: Advanced
Other requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
- Ability to effectively plan, execute, coordinate and monitor projects to ensure successful outcomes
- Knowledge of Visual Planning software would be an asset
