Ready to make a real impact on the game? The FA is seeking a dynamic Level 2 Referee Coach to join our Football Operations team, where you'll help elevate standards, strengthen our workforce, and ensure a consistent and robust approach to referee development and recruitment.

What will you do?

- Attend Step 2 fixtures to observe, analyse and report on Referee and Assistant Referee performance, producing objective reports aligned to the Refereeing DNA.
- Support officials' development across technical, tactical, psychological and behavioural areas.
- Contribute to succession planning, promotion decisions and longer-term referee development strategy.
- Assist with training events, workshops and wider CPD activity.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.
- As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role. Casual work is conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory DBS check result, which will be fairly considered on a case-by-case basis, in line with legislation and government guidance.

This role is a contractor position that requires weekend and evening availability to attend 37 fixtures over the course of a season.

What You'll Need?

Essential for the role:

- Extensive experience officiating at Level 2 or above (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of The Laws of the Game and referee development pathways.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, balanced and constructive feedback.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Commitment to referee development, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Willingness to travel to matches, including evenings and weekends.

Beneficial to have:

- Coaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- Previous experience coaching or mentoring referees.
- Experience supporting referees through promotion or performance challenges.
