Reporting to both the Head of Government and Host City Management and Manager of Government and Host City Management, the Visa & Immigration Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the FIFA 2027 team, an external immigration service provider, and government authorities involved in visa and immigration processes. The position will be based in the Headquarters at Rio de Janeiro, RJ.

The role will be responsible for supporting the coordination and operational delivery of streamlined and compliant visa procedures for FIFA workforce, delegates, PMAs, VIPs, and guests for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders and government entities to ensure clear communication, aligned processes, and efficient case handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinating the day‑to‑day execution of visa and immigration processes for all FIFA constituent groups, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to timelines.
- Acting as the central point of contact for the external immigration provider, monitoring service quality, documentation standards, and operational performance.
- Providing guidance on immigration requirements, documentation needs, and expected processing timelines to internal teams and relevant clients, such as workforce, officials, VIPs, Participating Member Association, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting in compliance activities, including monitoring regulatory changes, ensuring procedural adherence, and escalating risks or complex cases when needed.
- Supporting interactions with government bodies and consulates by preparing documentation, consolidating information, and facilitating responses to official inquiries.
- Maintaining updated records, and case‑tracking tools to ensure visibility of progress, bottlenecks, and pending tasks.
- Preparing operational and financial reports related to immigration services, including cost summaries and monthly reconciliations.
- Developing and maintaining a network of contacts within government entities, consulates, and immigration‑related institutions.
- Participating in meetings, workshops, and events when required.
- Providing support during peak operational periods, including occasional evening or weekend work.
- Offering guidance and knowledge transfer to FIFA departments and related entities on immigration procedures.
- Providing visa support for FIFA staff business travel when necessary.

- Completion of a related University degree or diploma.
- 3–5 years of experience in visa and immigration operations or a similar role.
- Experience working with external vendors or service providers.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office proficiency.
- Additional certification in business administration is an asset.
- Experience in international or cross‑cultural work environments preferred.
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and sound judgment, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with all counterparts, achieving high quality results in difficult and challenging circumstances.
- Ability to embrace change and be highly adaptable to new challenges and opportunities.
- Experience working in multicultural, multi‑disciplinary teams, ideally with immigration professionals.
- Project and event management experience is considered an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of global mobility or international administrative processes is beneficial.
