AFC Bournemouth Women are looking to recruit a Medical and Performance Manager to coordinate the effective delivery of Medical & Performance services across the First Team and Development Squad. Reporting to both the Director of Medical and Performance and Head of Women’s Football, this role acts as a central point of co-ordination between medical, rehabilitation, physical performance and wider player-support practitioners, helping ensure clear communication, effective processes and consistent standards across the programme. The role supports an integrated multidisciplinary approach that promotes player health, availability, development and performance, while enabling individual practitioners to focus on delivering high quality support within their respective areas of expertise.

- Co-ordinate the day-to-day Medical & Performance provision across the Women's First Team and Development Squad.
- Act as the central communication point between Medical & Performance practitioners, football staff and the wider Club.
- Co-ordinate regular multidisciplinary meetings, ensuring clear information sharing, agreed actions and appropriate follow-up.
- Support effective planning and integration of medical, rehabilitation, physical performance and player-support services.
- Ensure appropriate processes are in place for player availability, screening, rehabilitation, referrals, appointments and return-to-play coordination.
- Support consistent documentation, professional standards and governance across the programme, escalating matters where appropriate.
- Co-ordinate player medical and performance processes associated with recruitment and signing, in collaboration with relevant practitioners and Club leadership.
- Work with the Director of Medical & Performance and wider AFCB Medical & Performance department to align appropriate systems, standards and best practice.
- Support the organisation of equipment, facilities, technology and external services required for effective delivery.
- Foster an integrated and collaborative environment in which practitioners are enabled to focus on their professional responsibilities and players receive coordinated support.
- Depending on experience and organisational requirements, provide appropriate coordination, supervision and/or line-management support to members of the Women's Medical & Performance team

Essential

- Degree in at least one relevant medical or performance discipline, which may include medicine, physiotherapy, sports therapy, rehabilitation, sport science, strength and conditioning, psychology, wellbeing or a related field.
- Relevant professional registration, accreditation or membership appropriate to the candidate’s primary discipline.
- Experience working within elite football or a comparable high-performance sporting environment.
- Safeguarding and appropriate DBS clearance.
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries, clinical governance, confidentiality, safeguarding and duty of care.

Desirable

- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant medical, performance, psychology, wellbeing, leadership or management discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant FA, WNL and WSL medical and performance support requirements.
- Experience working within Women’s National or Super Leagues.
- Experience leading, managing or coordinating a multidisciplinary medical and performance team.
- UK Anti-Doping Introduction to Clean Sport certificate, or willingness to complete.
