Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academy Education Tutor to join our team. As an Education Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students in their academic journey, providing personalised instruction and guidance. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality tutoring services to students of various ages and educational backgrounds. This position requires a passion for education and a strong commitment to student success. The role additionally requires competency in tracking learners’ progress, high level communication with stakeholders and competent in SEND.
Key Responsibilities
Offer personalised tutoring sessions to students, tailoring instruction to their specific learning needs, goals, and curriculum requirements.
Prepare engaging and structured lesson plans based on the student's academic level and objectives, incorporating appropriate teaching methods and materials.
Regularly evaluate students' progress and learning outcomes through various assessment methods.
Apply diverse teaching techniques and adapt your approach to meet the unique learning styles of individual students, ensuring optimal comprehension and retention.
Be available to work as an evening tutor for the YDP at least once a week.
Track Hybrid learners progress and promptly liaise with schools on progress
Knowledge
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher and Learning Status (QTLS)
Safeguarding and Protecting Children
Educated to a minimum of undergraduate degree level
Specialist Skills
Up-to-date tracking of all learners with a view to updating the education department and all stakeholders on everyone
High level planning of curriculum and lesson plans
Available to be present in MDT meetings, feeding back relevant information to the wider education department
People Skills
High level communication skills to interact and converse with stakeholders pertinent to our learner’s progress, punctuality and attainment.
Flexibility is important as the football calendar at times, can dictate what an education week may look like

This role requires a level of direction and understanding, which will enforce the direction of travel for the academic year. Stakeholders will demand availability and timely information which will provide credibility to the education department.
Decision Making
Plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons as part of the BTEC / SEP education courses that meet the individual needs of each learner.
Assessment of learners throughout BTEC / SEP programmes in compliance with Premier League and Awarding Organisation policies.
Maintaining up-to-date tracking of each learner and providing a reporting platform to give constructive feedback to learners and parents in line with Premier League’s 6-Week Review Cycle.
Innovation
Identifying teaching methods suitable to the target audience while constantly reviewing for nuances
Create an environment befitting of an elite environment that will allow for everyone to flourish
