Based in Manchester, this permanent full-time role leads the planning and delivery of a year-round calendar of events and activations across Medlock Square. These events will be central to generating footfall, improving visitor engagement and driving commercial performance. You will play a key role in proposing, shaping and producing destination-led events and activations taking place in Medlock Square’s bars, restaurants and event spaces, including the new 3,000 capacity covered event space. The aim being to create engaging and memorable activities that enhance Medlock Square, particularly on non-matchdays, helping to create a vibrant destination experience.

The RoleYou will lead the planning, coordination and operational delivery of a dynamic programme of events and activations across Medlock Square, creating memorable destination experiences that drive footfall, increase visitor engagement and support commercial growth. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Activations, you will develop and deliver a year-round calendar of activity across the destination's bars, restaurants and public spaces, ensuring every event and activation is delivered safely, efficiently and to an exceptional standard.
A key aspect of the role will be developing strong relationships with third-party brands, partners, community organisations and suppliers to encourage a diverse programme of activity, with a particular focus on driving non-matchday visitation. You will oversee all aspects of event planning and delivery, including operational logistics, supplier management, stakeholder engagement and on-site coordination.
As Medlock Square evolves into one of Manchester's premier leisure and entertainment destinations, you will also identify new opportunities for partnerships, experiences and revenue-generating activations, helping to shape a vibrant, year-round programme that keeps visitors returning time and time again.
What You’ll Bring⚽ Proven experience planning and delivering small- and large-scale events and activations from concept through to successful delivery, ideally within an events agency environment.
⚽ Demonstrable experience managing event budgets and working with third-party event agencies, production partners and suppliers.
⚽ Strong project management, operational planning and organisational skills.
⚽ Experience coordinating event logistics, supplier management and on-site delivery.
⚽ The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
⚽ A proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with brands, partners and external organisations to create engaging activations.
⚽ Commercial awareness, with the confidence to identify and propose new revenue-generating event and activation opportunities.
⚽ A proactive, hands-on approach with the flexibility to support events outside of standard working hours where required.
