The Role

We are looking for an Academy Strength and Conditioning Coachon a casual basis to deliver and develop our AWFC physical curriculum and lead athletic development across the Academy.

Your day-to-day

- Lead our Academy's strength and conditioning programmes- you'll play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding strength and conditioning programmes with the support of our Performance Lead, bridging the physical gap by delivering our long-term athletic development (LTAD) model to an exceptional standard
- Oversee fitness profiling- you'll assist and support our fitness profiling and ensure that it is age-specific, comprehensive and meets FA requirements
- Champion player development- you will create and implement an individual development approach for each player, with regular touchpoints to review progress, constantly developing our athletes as well as our team
- Input into player reviews- you'll attend and contribute to reviews and provide regular reports at timely intervals to key stakeholders to support the development of the Women's programme
- Support the physical development strategy- you will diligently improve athletic performance throughout our Women's Academy in line with our Women's First Team requirements
- Create and implement athletic development strategies- you'll collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimise the squad's ability to perform to a high level throughout the season

What we are looking for

- Background in working within sport - you come with a track record of providing strength and conditioning services within sport, and you're well versed in working with elite players and preparing them for competition
- Credible expertise- you hold degree level qualifications (or equivalent) in Sports Science or Strength and Conditioning, as well as a further Strength and Conditioning qualification such as UKSCA, NCSA or CSCS
- Accreditations in sport and coaching- you have an FA Level 2/UEFA-C Coaching qualification and accreditation with the British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES)
- Solid knowledge of Women's football- you come with an in-depth understanding of the FA Girls' Talent Pathway and WSL Academy structure
- Excellent communicator- you possess effective communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, impactful strategic relationships with our staff and players
- Organised and adaptable approach- you've got the ability to demonstrate good session planning and you use your exceptional organisational skills to work across a range of projects concurrently
- Flexible attitude- you have a willingness to work weekends and be flexible with fluctuations in scheduling and you can travel independently
