Vacancy | Club Development Officer
Location: This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work remotely from the Berks & Bucks FA office (Milton Park, OX14 4SB), from home, and across the County.
Salary: Band 4 (£27,068–£33,084) per annum, dependent on experience.
Hours: 35 hours per week (evening and weekend work required in line with role demands).
Contract: Full‑time, Fixed‑Term Contract (expiring June 2028).
The Opportunity
Berks & Bucks FA is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about grassroots sport and its vital role in supporting healthier, more active communities. The Club Development Officer will focus on supporting and developing grassroots clubs to ensure they provide accessible, high‑quality opportunities for all.

The postholder will lead engagement with clubs, helping them broaden their provision, operate sustainably, and grow their volunteer workforce.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead the engagement and communication with clubs, ensuring they feel connected, supported and listened to.
- Support the recruitment and training of new and existing club volunteers.
- Increase the number of players successfully transitioning from youth to adult football.
- Strategically lead the growth of England Football Accredited Clubs & Leagues.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Practical experience in sports or football development.
- Knowledge and understanding of working with volunteers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
You'll really impress if you have:
- Experience developing networks and relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- An understanding of how grassroots clubs operate.
