What is the role?

We are seeking a Casual Goalkeeper Coach to support our Women’s U21 goalkeepers in both their training and matchday programme. This person will demonstrate that they can contribute to a positive environment, goalkeeper recruitment and can positively impact a player’s development and potential to achieve on and off the pitch.

What will you be doing?

You will plan, deliver and review all goalkeeper session plans for the U21st programme, in line with MDT expectations and the wider programme goals. Completing all GK individual development plans across the course of the season, you will log all progress made towards their personal development.

Understanding the depth chart for all squads in the Academy, you will actively aid recruitment of goalkeepers when needed, including in the assessment of those invited into the academy and be expected to inform and deliver in decision-making meetings pertaining to goalkeepers.

You will support the development of our Academy Pathway Goalkeeper Coach and cover sessions as and when needed as well as attending Academy fixtures when required.

You have the ability to support others and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team while remaining organised and adaptable to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • FA Level 2 Goalkeeping or FA National GK Course qualification
  • UEFA C coaching award or higher
