What is the role?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual to bring Southampton Football Club’s beloved mascots, Sammy and Mary Saint, to life on matchdays and at club events. As a Matchday Character Mascot, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for supporters, enhancing the matchday atmosphere, and representing the Club within the local community.
What will you be doing?
Through energetic and engaging performances, you will interact with fans of all ages, particularly children, helping to build excitement and enhance the overall matchday atmosphere.
As part of the role, you will participate in a variety of activities before, during and after matches, including pitch-side appearances, fan engagement opportunities and promotional events around the stadium. You will also represent the Club at community, charitable and commercial events, acting as a positive ambassador for Southampton Football Club.
Throughout every appearance, you will maintain the character and personality of Sammy or Mary Saint, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable experience for supporters. Working closely with Club staff and event teams, you will help deliver safe, professional and well-organised events while adhering to all Club policies and health and safety requirements.
