What is the role?

We are seeking a Casual U21s Assistant Coach to join our Girls Academy to support in the delivery of high-quality training sessions and matchday operations as well as contribute to the technical, tactical, physical and psychological development of players.

What will you be doing?

You will design, plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions that align with the Clubs playing philosophy, tactical framework and player development objectives while supporting the U21s Head Coach to manage the squad on and in preparation for matchdays. This will include pre-match preparation, tactical planning, in-game decision-making, and the post-match review process.

Supporting in the development, implementation and monitoring of Individual Development Plans, you will collaborate with medical, sports science and performance staff to support each players technical, tactical and physical and psychological development.

You will give feedback on players to support the progression from Academy and U21s into the first-team environment, supporting their development through training integration, mentoring, and loan pathway management where appropriate.

Is this you?

You are an experienced football coach with a passion for the women's game and a good understanding of how to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and support young players in reaching their full potential.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience coaching within an elite football environment,
    preferably within a Professional Game Academy, Emerging Talent Centre,
    Regional Talent Club, or senior women's football programme.
  • Experience of planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality training
    sessions aligned to a defined playing philosophy and player development
    framework.
  • Demonstrable experience working with players within the 16–21 age range,
    supporting both performance outcomes and long-term player
    development.
  • Experience of managing and leading teams in a competitive matchday
    environment, including tactical planning, in-game decision-making, and
    performance review.
  • Experience of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary
    environment, including medical, sports science, performance analysis,
    and player care staff.
