Main goal

The Commercial Operations Intern coordinates various tasks, projects and subprojects within the Commercial Operations unit, whose key role is to implement the commercial rights for all centralised UEFA club competition and national team competition matches. The Commercial Operations Intern also supports the delivery of commercial rights by analysing data and optimising processes through digital tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Excel and data workflows.

Key responsibilities

- Documents and procedures relating to commercial operations: - Preparing and coordinating key content and documents across various commercial domains for the pre-season and in-season delivery of the commercial rights of UEFA's partners - Overseeing the collection and approval of key club assets in preparation for the season, including logos, bibs and ticket designs - Creating and managing site visit reports and season binders and compiling reports and documents for the sponsorship rights delivery team (e.g. partner rights overviews, performance levels, management reports, etc.) - Collecting and consolidating key information from multiple sources to create comprehensive overviews for different competitions, clubs and venues

- Data management, automation & process optimisation - Analysing the existing workflows for commercial operations and identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency - Designing, implementing and maintaining automated workflows for recurring tasks - Creating dashboards and reports for tracking sponsorship rights delivery, performance levels and operational KPIs - Consolidating data across multiple platforms

- Communication & coordination - Coordinating activities and exchanging information with other UEFA units and key external stakeholders such as clubs - Providing support to the venue services and sponsorship managers (VSSMs) and the venue operations and broadcaster managers (VOBMs) to ensure the smooth delivery of commercial partners’ rights - Monitoring various email inboxes across competitions

- General support & administration - Working with team members to deliver commercial partners' ticketing rights - Assisting with the management of invoicing processes across competitions - Providing support and content for the organisation of workshops, briefings and meetings - Providing administrative support for the preparation and organisation of matches, including back-office administration and general project management tasks

Requirements

Experience:

- Experience in a dynamic, multicultural and international environment
- Experience working on events involving multiple stakeholders
- Exposure to data analysis, digital tools or process automations

Education:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, events, data analytics or a related field

Languages:

- English/ Fluent

Other requirements:

- Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to visualise, understand and translate business needs into new solutions
- Proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable working independently
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player, adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Understanding of data tables, workflows and performance figures
- Interest in applying and developing skills in Power Automate, Power BI or similar automation/reporting solutions is highly valued
- Familiarity with SharePoint, databases or collaborative platforms is a plus
