Position Summary
Charlotte Football Club is seeking part-time, seasonal Youth Soccer Coaches to support community-based programs including camps, clinics, and special events. Coaches will work under the direction of CLTFC staff to deliver safe, engaging, and age-appropriate soccer experiences for youth participants. This role requires a passion for soccer, a commitment to positive youth development, and the ability to serve as a professional role model representing Charlotte FC in the community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players at youth programs including camps, clinics, and other community-based initiatives.
- Lead and assist the on-field coaching duties of all youth programs.
- Implement session plans as instructed by the lead coach at all youth programs.
- Assist in the set up and break down of coaching equipment before and after youth programs.
- Promote the positive messaging of Charlotte FC through interactions with players, families, and other community members.
- Adhere to Charlotte FC/Tepper Sports & Entertainment youth protection, safety, and conduct policies.
- Report incidents, injuries, or concerns involving participants to program leadership promptly.
- Always maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct with minors.
- This position requires adherence to all youth safeguarding, abuse prevention, and mandatory reporting policies established by Charlotte FC and applicable law.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- Experience coaching youth soccer (at any level)
- Experience working with youth
- Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and/or holidays when needed. Majority of our summer programs run Monday-Friday 8:00am – 12:30pm.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to program locations within the Charlotte metro area and occasionally beyond.
- Must successfully pass required pre-employment background checks, including those related to working with minors.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid/SafeSport certified (or willingness to obtain prior to assignment)
- Experience playing soccer
- Multilingual skills

Work Environment
- Outdoors on the fields and minimal administrative/planning work
- Various weather conditions including extreme heat and inclement weather
- Work varies based on schedule and business needs. Work schedule includes night and weekend hours.
Physical Demands
Occasional bending, lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
