The Content Services Liaison Manager will report jointly to the Zurich-based FWWC Content Services Project Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all event-related video content production, as well as ensuring the successful delivery of pre-event and in-tournament video content to FIFA stakeholders.
The Content Services Liaison Manager will be the in-country point of contact for all FIFA27 functional areas, Host Country/City representatives or stadium authorities and FIFA’s Media Partners in relation to non-live content services.
The successful individual will work closely with the FIFA Content Services team at FIFA HQ, Zurich to develop content strategies for the event, as well as communicating the confirmed content plans (long-form, short-form, social, audio) to all relevant stakeholders. Key milestones under the role’s scope include 1 year to go, the Final Draw, two Play-off Tournaments, 100 days to go and the main tournament period (June–July 2027).
The position will require periods of extended travel and long operational hours. The selected candidate will also be expected to escalate risks, critical progress updates, and potential delays to FIFA HQ in Zurich.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, coordinate and oversee all pre-event content production based on the overall tournament content-plan developed in close collaboration with the FIFA Content Services Team in Zurich.
- Ensure all content creation and delivery for the tournament is communicated clearly and promoted to all stakeholders
- Liaise with the FIFA team in Zurich around the creation and distribution of all future content. Report all developments to the Head of Production and work closely with all areas of the FIFA content team
- Liaising closely with Host Cities, Stadiums, and FIFA27 Local Entity counterparts to ensure they are informed about and engaged with all filming projects and that their individual content requirements are taken care of
- Potentially liaise with the North- and South American Medial Partners (MP) to coordinate the delivery of produced content, discuss long and short-form programming opportunities and social media packages and assets – to be done in conjunction with FIFA Zurich
- Investigate new North and South American based opportunities around potential long and short-form programming, branded content, social media and audio projects, including podcasts
- Leading weekly, fortnightly and monthly reporting documentation and meetings on the tournament planning progress, managing and resolving risks and issues for FWWC content services related topics within the assigned country, and escalating any urgent issues to the Head of Broadcast and FIFA Content Services Project Lead in a timely manner.
- Working across multiple time zones, to support the FIFA Content Services Project Lead based in Zurich, as well as the FIFA27 Head of Broadcast based in Rio De Janeiro FIFA office
- Work closely with the local Host Broadcast and Media Partnerships department as their main point of contact for any FIFA Content Services related topics.
- Pre-planning, onsite support and supervision of the content production for the Play off Final tournaments, the Final Draw event and any other such event including internal workshops, training sessions, etc.
- A strong background in editorial sports television production or sports television production management
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a producer or production manager in a comparable content production related role within a fast-paced environment involving complex projects - ideally at a similar international sports event
- A knowledge of and participation in the South American Sports TV industry
- Contacts within the national football associations in South America.
- Strong communication and high level of presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Evidence of adaptability, including experience acting as a facilitator and/or negotiator in complex or high-pressured situations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to high-quality service delivery.
- A collaborative team player who can perform under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Positive attitude, with patience and persistence when navigating challenges and resolving issues.
- Experience working within a multicultural and/or multinational organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Highly organized and proven to be cool-headed under pressure
- Must have legal right to work in Brazil.
- Ability to relocate and work from Rio de Janeiro
- Required language skills: fluent in English and Portuguese is mandatory, fluent in Spanish is a big plus.
