What is the role?

We are seeking a Core Programme Coordinator to take responsibility for the delivery, assessment and monitoring of both the BTEC Sport Level 3 qualification (with a commitment to teaching units) and supporting the delivery and coordination of the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship for the Academy players, ensuring this is completed to the high standards of the Premier League and Academy

Education Manager. Providing feedback on progress using both formative assessment and tracking, and conducting milestone meetings and reviews, while helping players develop their portfolio of evidence for their end-point assessments.

You will liaise with scholars and internal stakeholders throughout the Academic year to ensure all KSB’s are mapped and covered and ultimately, prepare the scholars for ‘Gateway’.

You will also prepare, deliver and assess on the BTEC Sport L3 Programme. Liaising with the Academy Education Manager and the Premier League on quality assurance and training requirements and providing administrative support to the Academy Education Department.

This role will involve offering assistance on a range of Academy-related activities and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

Is this you?

You are experienced in working with young adults and have an understanding of the academy system and professional football environment.

The successful candidate would be expected to work across Monday, Wednesday and Thursday however flexibility is required to meet the needs of the Academy schedule.


Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualification.
  • Recent experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Professional attitude and understands the importance of detail.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Proactive and uses initiative.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritise programmes of work.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a sporting environment.
  • Experience working in a post-16 education setting.
  • A1 Assessor qualification.
  • Willing to attain a teaching qualification.
