We are look for an administrative super stars looking to join the QRL on an initial one year maximum term contract as a Football Support Administrator.  

We need someone with an operational understanding of the professional sports environment not just a passion for the on-field action. To us, Rugby League is more than a game. At the QRL, you’ll help unite and inspire people through lifelong engagement in Rugby League. We work from community clubs to elite level, you’ll champion this remarkable game, and its impact on Queenslanders everywhere.

What you’ll do on a day-to-day: 

In the role of Football Support Administrator, you’ll be at the forefront of solving challenges with a solution-focused mindset, interacting proactively with a range of stakeholders, offering guidance and support. This role requires a very organised person with a high attention to detail and is the main go to for administrative support to ensure quality control and compliance internally and for some of our Boards and Committees. If you’re passionate about Rugby League and thrive in an ever-changing environment, read on for further job responsibilities:

  • Assists the Area Manager and management team with area administration functions.
  • Manage the MySideline registration system (including Clearances and Pending registrations).
  • Provide administrative support to upload all match fixtures into the MySideline system accurately.
  • Assist in overall competition management.
  • Provide administrative support to collate, distribute and upload Judicial and Disciplinary cases. 
  • Oversee creating and maintaining necessary office documentation, including records, digital databases, contact lists, etc.
  • Assist in:the creation and scheduling of calendars. collating and recording all Players of the Year award points. the administering of all local league rules. final eligibility checks.Accreditation Compliance, ensuring all Coaches and support staff (LeagueSafe / sports trainers/volunteers) are registered and fully accredited for the roles they perform.
  • Effectively manage and close off general inquiry phone calls and incoming/ outgoing mail and deliveries (including social media).
  • Support:the collation of all club’s AGM and affiliation documents.in the administration of the 18-month registration approval/ denial process.in the administration of any transfer appeals request.the local league with monthly Board/Committee meeting preparation and minute-taking.

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • A couple of years of experience in a similar administrative role. 
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain this while flipping between several different tasks.
  • A current driver’s license and eligible to obtain a Blue Card.
  • An Undergraduate Degree preferably in Business/Sports Administration or working towards a relevant tertiary qualification – desirable. 
  • Microsoft office suite competence, with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes, governance & working across a diverse geographic spread.

 

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time one year maximum term contract position based in our Brisbane Office and the salary for this position is $57,000 plus superannuation. Working in sport is not a standard 9-5 gig, you will need to be available evenings and weekends to effectively engage with our large volunteer base on Boards and Committees. QRL remunerate based on the position to ensure gender pay equity in sport. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… you also receive five weeks of leave each year, an allocation of funds to use for professional development and other attractive benefits.
