We believe the Mercedes-Benz Stadium Campus can reconnect Westside neighborhoods with downtown Atlanta, provide year-round programming, and bring diverse groups together to share experiences and interests.
A central component of the campus is The Home Depot Backyard (HDBY), an11-acre greenspace that opened Fall 2018. This multi-purpose space is used for parking, tailgating and fan activations on game days and will be host to hundreds of programs and events per year, ranging from fitness classes to markets to concerts and cultural events.
Position Summary
The Home Depot Backyard Sales and Corporate Partnerships Seasonal Assistant supports the execution and fulfillment of corporate partnerships and branded experiences across HDBY events and community initiatives. This role works directly with the Senior Manager of Partnerships & Sales to help deliver seamless activations, strong brand presence, and exceptional partner service.
The ideal candidate is organized, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This hands-on role provides exposure to sponsorship strategy, branded activations, community impact programming, and event execution.
This is a 6-month seasonal, part-time role located at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sponsorship sales and industry research
Assist with account management and contribute to the HDBY team’s activation efforts
Assist with master recaps of all sponsorship elements and activation
Assist in our signature and community events with event planning and execution (this will be grass roots and occasionally offsite to better the community focused on Health and Wellness, Inspired Learning, and Arts and Culture as well as our signature and third party events hosted in The Backyard)
Work alongside various projects across the entire HDBY team in the Community Events, Marketing, and Events planning to provide support where needed.
Assist in photographing all HDBY events, edit, and organize images.
Assist with account management and contribute to the group’s activation efforts (design collateral, edit copy, organize event details, etc.)
Professional Customer Service that is necessary with direct customer and client interaction
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications, Required Skills and Education Requirements
College graduate
Prior internships or work experience (6 months to 2 years) in Sponsorship fulfillment, professional sales, professional client service or related fields required
Solution oriented, highly motivated and proactive self-starter who works well as both team member and individual contributor
Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through, and capable of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva or other graphic software
Physical requirements include the ability to lift 30+ pounds and ability to be on your feet for 2+ hours
Ability to work non-traditional work hours, and weekend hours required
Reliable transportation required
