    TITLE:High School Boys Assistant Soccer Coach

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Camdenton R-III School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated coach to support the head boys soccer coach by instructing student-athletes in fundamental skills, leading specific drills and implementing game strategies.. We are looking for a coach who values teamwork, sportsmanship, and the overall development of young athletes.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must meet MSHSAA Coaching Requirements 3.1.5.
    • Coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or club level preferred.
    • Ability to be employed as a High School teacher or support staff position preferred.

    REPORTS TO:  High School Athletic Director

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:  Board Policy for Staff Conduct 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with planning and conducting practices and conditioning, to improve close-control dribbling, accurate passing, a strong first touch, shooting techniques and other skill moves. 
    • Assist in teaching fundamental skills, strategy, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment.
    • Direct, mentor, and motivate players during in-season and out-of-season practices and games.
    • Collaborate and assist with out-of- season conditioning including the MSHSAA designated preseason practice period, summer contact days, offseason, and weight room oversight.
    • Supervise student-athletes in locker rooms, during travel, and at all team activities, ensuring a safe, respectful environment.
    • Assist with inventorying equipment/uniforms, maintaining team records, tracking student eligibility, and communicating with parents and staff.
    • Ensure the physical safety of all student-athletes, including adhering to medical protocols and ensuring required paperwork is completed.
    • Maintain open, professional communication with athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic directors.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the MSHSAA by-laws.

    Additional Duties: 

    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the High School Athletic Director, or Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.  

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:    

    • Extra Duties Pay Scale
    • Teaching position contingent on availability and appropriate DESE certification.
