Main goal
Are you a payroll and finance professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with meaningful people impact?
Then join us as our next HR Financial & Payroll Expert. Your role will be to ensure accurate payroll management, provide financial analysis to support business decisions, and manage workforce budgeting and forecasting.
Through close collaboration with the HR and Finance teams, you will help ensure compliance with policies and procedures, contribute to HR projects, and support the effective management of employee-related financial matters across UEFA.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering accurate staff‑cost budgets and forecasts, anticipating workforce changes.
- Ensuring accurate, timely and compliant monthly payroll delivery, in line with Swiss labour law and social security requirements.
- Supporting strong governance by ensuring robust compliance and risk management across payroll, benefits and HR policies, including coordinating audits, and reporting reliably to UEFA's finance division, internal and external auditors and the competent authorities.
- Providing UEFA's HR business partners and managers with expert advice on payroll and other matters relating to compensation and benefits, ensuring consistent application of the relevant guidelines.
- Supporting employees with clear guidance on social security, pension, retirement and tax matters, improving understanding and compliance.
- Partnering on organisation-wide HR initiatives that strengthen people practices, support workforce decisions and shape the future of work at UEFA.
- Drive continuous improvement, standardisation and operational excellence across payroll, compensation and benefits processes.
Requirements
Experience
- At least 7 years' experience handling payroll, compensation, social insurance and tax in a Swiss corporate environment.
- Proven ability to maintain a robust, transparent HR financial infrastructure (budgeting, reporting and audit support).
- Previous experience within an international organisation, ideally of comparable scale and complexity.
- Experience with SAP or similar HRIS/payroll solutions.
Education:
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, human resources or similar field
- Further education in human resources (e.g. Swiss brevet fédéral), pensions/insurance, finance or HRIS is an advantage.
Languages:
- English: Proficient
- French: Proficient
Other requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of HR & Financial processes
- Financial background
- Ability to take initiative and lead projects with accountability and turn ideas into impactful results.
- Strong commitment to service excellence and quality
- High level of integrity, discretion and sound judgment, especially when handling sensitive HR and payroll information.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- The successful candidate will be expected to be resident in Switzerland or nearby France.
