The Role

The Program Instructor for the Twinning Project is responsible for supporting the development and evolution of the Twinning Project program, an ACFC Community Impact program. The intervention program aims to improve the mental and physical health of incarcerated individuals through soccer.  This person works collaboratively with the ACFC Community staff, program partners, and staff from incarceration facilities/detention centers. This individual will support the soccer skills portion of the program. The program will run for 8 weeks, and each session will run for 4 hours (this includes setup and breakdown). 

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Community Programs to create a plan and schedule for the soccer skills portion of the program. 
  • Collaborate with various incarceration facilities/detention center staff members and program partners to plan and execute the program.
  • Coach in person at all sessions held at incarceration facilities/detention centers.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact and lead for the soccer skills portion. 
  • In collaboration with the Senior Manager, Community Programs, execute data collection to support measurement and evaluation of the program. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of professional experience in place of a degree required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in coaching soccer. 
  • Experience with project management, managing daily activities, and delivering results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, written, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to keep multiple distinct projects on track.
  • Coaching experience and soccer knowledge. 
  • Ability to lead discussions and soccer sessions to deliver programming. 
  • Open mindset and the ability to connect and adapt with participants.  

 

Schedule:

  • Program Timeframe: 
    • Tuesdays: 8:30 am-12:30 pm
  • Program Length: October - December 2026

    • October 20th
    • October 27th
    • November 3rd
    • November 10th 
    • December 1st 
    • December 8th (Culmination Event) 

 

Compensation  

This is a temporary, non-exempt role at an hourly rate of $30 and runs from October to December 2026.
