Job Overview
At an exciting time of commercial growth at Brentford Football Club, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Planning Manager to help deliver and shape the commercial strategy across partnerships. This includes delivering the agreed work streams that contribute to enhancing the Club’s commercial reputation, maximising commercial value, and helping support the increase in commercial income across partnership sales and servicing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the partnership sales lead generation plan with market insights, pipeline development, external platforms, and management through Salesforce
Lead the assessment, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence, and approvals process for new commercial partnerships and revenue initiatives
Support the ongoing refinement and implementation of new commercial partnerships models working closely with the Commercial Director, Partnerships Director and the Head of Commercial Planning
Manage and coordinate revenue tracking and reporting across Partnerships, including liaising with Finance, Head of Partnership Servicing, and other supporting departments
Support the Head of Commercial Planning, and working closely with Insights and Strategy and Partnerships Servicing teams, to implement and continually evolve the Club’s Evaluation Framework with Partners
Support the Partnerships Director and Head of Commercial Planning with Partnerships Strategy development, annual department objective setting, and tracking of objectives and deliverables across all commercial teams
Manage the Partnerships Strategy and project management across Partnership Sales, Partnership Services and other identified commercial projects
Coordinate and support the Commercial Director, Head of Commercial Planning, and the Partnership teams with budget planning and revenue forecasting
Collaborate with the Partnership Sales and Servicing teams to develop new and innovative partnership inventory across all identified agreed departments and external stakeholders, including the Brentford FC Sports Community Trust
Support renewal and sales negotiations processes
Lead and support other commercial planning, project management, business case, and strategy functions as required by the business and wider commercial departments
Identify, summarise, and propose additional commercial growth initiatives that align with the Club’s business and growth plans
Ideation and deck presentation support for Partnerships Sales and renewal proposals
Knowledge
Degree or equivalent knowledge experience
Significant knowledge and understanding of commercial football, sports and entertainment landscape as well as prospect and partner challenges – a strong understanding of their consumer, customer and audience landscape, habits and behaviours
Knowledge and understanding of core commercial competencies and principles across partnership sales and servicing
Specialist Skills
Experience in an agency, brand or rights holder working in sports marketing, commercial partnership development and management, and/or commercial planning and strategy
Proven ability to develop creative, professionally structured and presented proposals & supporting sales materials
Creative thinker with an innovative outlook and ability to inspire creativity in others
Results-driven with strong data and analytical skills

Proven ability to lead and prioritise a varied project workload in a dynamic environment and manage senior stakeholders
