Reporting organisationally to the Head of Marketing, Brand and Promotion (FIFA27, Rio de Janeiro) and the Head of Digital Marketing (FIFA HQ, Zurich), the Senior Digital Marketing Manager will be a key member of the FIFA27 Marketing, Brand and Promotion team, and will work in close collaboration with the Digital Marketing team in Zurich and other key individuals responsible for managing, planning and delivering digital marketing campaigns for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Developing, implementing, and managing multi-channel digital marketing strategies that align with business, tournament and marketing and communication objectives, ensuring integration across owned digital channels (website, social media, CRM and mobile apps).
- Coordinating with FIFA’s global digital marketing team to ensure alignment of local campaigns with overall strategies and objectives.
- Collaborating with tournament stakeholders, including Host Cities and Stadiums, Commercial Partners, and Official Media Partners and Licensees to amplify digital campaigns.
- Leading alignment with internal functional areas and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive marketing strategies, providing clear communication and expectations across all parties involved.
- Overseeing the creation, curation, and distribution of engaging digital content that resonates with local and global audiences in support of marketing activity.
- Ensuring all digital content follows FIFA Women’s World Cup brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone of voice.
- Monitoring and analysing the performance of digital campaigns using various analytics tools.
- Providing regular reports and insights to the global team and other stakeholders.
- Optimising campaigns based on data-driven insights to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Acting as the primary digital marketing liaison between the Zurich-based global team and the Brazilian-based local tournament and event teams.
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Supporting Host Cities and Stadiums, Commercial Partners and Media Partners with tailored digital marketing strategies to enhance local engagement.
- Staying up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies.

Education & Qualifications

- Related bachelor’s degree or a similar level of higher education.

Work Experience

- Proven experience (5-7 years) in managing large-scale digital marketing campaigns, preferably in sports or entertainment and in the South American market.

- Digital Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, mobile app marketing, as well as web content and email marketing
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to think long-term and align marketing efforts with overall business objectives
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery
- Technical & Proficiency Skills: Proficiency in using digital marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, SEO Tools, CRM Software, Social Media analytics platforms such as Sprinklr) to interpret data, analyse metrics and make data-driving decisions
- SEO/SEM Knowledge: Understanding of search engine optimisation and search engine marketing techniques
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and finding solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Result-Oriented: Focusing on achieving measurable outcomes and meeting organisational goals
- Decision Making: Quick to identify issues and make swift decisions in critical situations, taking initiative and assessing risks effectively
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Fan/Customer-Centric Mindset: Skilled at understanding fan/customer needs and tailoring marketing strategies accordingly
- Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and allocating resources effectively
- Market Knowledge: Knowledge of Brazilian and South American markets and culture and trends
