The First Team Analyst will be responsible for aiding the first team in various forms of technical and tactical analysis and preparation. The successful candidate will possess a versatile set of skills across video and data analysis, a deep tactical understanding of the game and a strong desire to learn.
Essential Functions
- Film and code all first team training sessions, providing live feedback to the coaching staff when necessary.
- Lead post-training analysis process – collection of best practice clips to be presented to coaching staff.
- Maintain library of training drills.
- Assist on matchday with live coding of games.
- Conduct post-match analysis in collaboration with coaches to collect & database best practice clips.
- Assist with recruitment and management of first team interns.
- Provide specific analysis projects as directed by coaching staff.
- Other duties as assigned by Head of Analysis or coaching staff.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working within professional or NCAA soccer.
- Strong understanding of soccer tactics & willingness to learn Nashville SC game model.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in the use of Hudl products (Sportscode, Insight, Studio, Wyscout) or equivalent video analysis software.
- Experience in filming training/matches, as well as flying drones.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, travel consistently & work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, experience in building presentations using video and/or data to provide insights to the coaching staff.
