The Host Broadcast Operations Coordinator supports the planning, coordination and delivery of Host Broadcast operations across all venues and central broadcast facilities, including the International Broadcast Coordination Centre (IBCC).
Working under the direction of the Head of Broadcast and in alignment with the FIFA Zürich Project Lead – Senior Host Broadcast Production Manager, the role contributes to the implementation of broadcast operations and IBCC-related activities.
The position supports coordination between FIFA project requirements, Host Broadcast Production delivery, and IBCC operations, ensuring aligned planning, consistent communication, and effective service delivery across all operational areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the planning, coordination and implementation of Host Broadcast operations across all FIFA Women's World Cup™ venues and central broadcast facilities.
- Assist the Head of Broadcast and FIFA Zürich Project Lead – Senior Host Broadcast Production Manager in coordinating operational planning, tracking project milestones and monitoring key deliverables.
- Support the Host Broadcast Operations Managers with venue planning activities, ensuring consistency of operational standards, documentation and implementation across all competition venues.
- Coordinate operational information, documentation and planning activities between FIFA departments, Host Broadcast partners and key service providers.
- Support the planning, coordination and operational readiness of the International Broadcast Coordination Centre (IBCC), including facilities, operational workflows, logistics and service delivery.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of IBCC operational documentation, layouts, operational procedures and planning schedules.
- Coordinate information relating to Host Broadcast and IBCC requirements, ensuring timely communication and alignment between all stakeholders.
- Support planning meetings, workshops, venue inspections and operational readiness activities, including preparation of agendas, minutes, action tracking and follow-up.
- Assist in monitoring project risks, dependencies and operational issues, escalating where appropriate and supporting the implementation of agreed actions.
- Contribute to the preparation of operational reports, presentations and management updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support planning for tournament-time operations, ensuring operational documentation, staffing plans and broadcast requirements are maintained and up to date.
- Work collaboratively across FIFA, FIFA27, Host Broadcaster and service providers to ensure an integrated approach to Host Broadcast and IBCC operations.
- Undertake additional operational duties as required to support the successful delivery of the FIFA Women's World Cup™.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
- Experience in broadcast, media and/or sports event environments
- University degree in broadcast, media, event management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in project planning, broadcast operations, event operations, or coordination roles
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams across functional areas such as accommodation, logistics, accreditation and travel
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, particularly when working under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong administrative and reporting capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple teams and levels
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to use sound judgement and support operational decision-making
- Knowledge of local markets and cultural environments is an asset
- Familiarity with broadcast and/or IBC/IBCC operations is a strong advantage
- Experience in major international sporting events is desirable
- Fluent in both English and Brazilian Portuguese (written and spoken)
